Who are Willow Rose Soap & Home Fragrance?

Willow Rose Soap & Home Fragrance is a small, family-run UK business based in Bolton, Greater Manchester. We began making wax melts and carpet fresheners in 2020 and have since grown our collection to include bath bombs, body butters, whipped soaps, foaming sugar scrubs, soap sponges and other beautifully fragranced products.

Are your products handmade in the UK?

Yes. Our wax melts, bath products, body care and home fragrance products are handmade in small batches here in the UK. Small-batch production allows us to pay close attention to the quality, appearance and fragrance of every product.

Are your products vegan and cruelty-free?

Our products are vegan-friendly and cruelty-free unless clearly stated otherwise on the individual product listing. You can find full product information, ingredients and important safety details on each product page.

Where is Willow Rose Soap based?

We are based in Bolton, Greater Manchester, and supply handmade wax melts, bath and body products and home fragrance products to customers across the UK.

Wax Melts

What are wax melts?

Wax melts are fragranced pieces of wax designed to be gently warmed in a suitable wax melt burner. As the wax warms, it releases fragrance into your room without the need for a traditional scented candle.

Our handmade wax melts are available in snap bars, individual shapes, themed collections, mystery boxes and limited-edition fragrances.

How do I use wax melts?

Break off a suitable amount of wax and place it in the clean, dry dish of your wax melt burner. If using a tealight burner, use an unscented four-hour tealight unless the burner manufacturer states otherwise.

Never add water to the wax. Keep the burner on a stable, heat-resistant surface and never leave it unattended while in use.

How long do your wax melts last?

Fragrance time varies depending on the fragrance, the amount of wax used, room size, airflow and the type of burner. A piece of one of our highly scented wax melt snap bars can provide several hours of fragrance and may be reheated until the scent has faded.

What type of wax do you use?

Our wax melt collections are made using a carefully selected wax blend designed to provide a strong and long-lasting fragrance experience. Please check the individual product description for information about a particular wax melt collection.

Are your wax melts CLP compliant?

Yes. Our wax melts are supplied with the relevant UK CLP safety information where required. Always read the product label before use and keep wax melts, burners and packaging away from children and pets.

Are your fragrances exact copies of designer perfumes?

Some of our wax melts and body products are inspired by familiar fragrance styles. These products are not made by, endorsed by or affiliated with the original fragrance brands or designers.

Bath and Body Products

What bath and body products do you make?

Our handmade bath and body range includes bath bombs, whipped soaps, foaming sugar scrubs, body butters, soap sponges, shower products and other fragranced treats.

Product availability changes throughout the year, so look out for seasonal launches, limited-edition fragrances and new handmade bath products.

Are your bath products safety assessed?

Our cosmetic bath and body products are made using safety-assessed formulations and in accordance with applicable UK cosmetic requirements. Ingredient information and directions for use are provided on the product or its packaging.

Do you provide full ingredient lists?

Yes. Ingredient information is shown on the product packaging and may also be included on the relevant product page. Please read the complete ingredient list before purchasing or using a product, particularly if you have allergies or sensitivities.

Can I use your products if I have sensitive skin?

Everyone’s skin is different. We recommend checking the full ingredient list carefully and carrying out a small patch test where appropriate. Stop using the product if irritation occurs.

If you have a diagnosed allergy, skin condition or medical concern, seek advice from a qualified healthcare professional before trying a new cosmetic product.

How should I store bath and body products?

Store products in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight, excessive heat and moisture. Keep lids and packaging securely closed between uses. Avoid allowing water to enter jars containing body butter, whipped soap or sugar scrub.

Why can handmade products look slightly different?

As our products are handmade in small batches, there may be slight differences in colour, pattern, decoration, weight or finish. These small variations are part of the character of genuinely handmade bath and body products and do not affect their intended use.

Body Butters and Skin Care

What is body butter?

Body butter is a rich moisturising product designed to soften and condition the skin. Our handmade body butters contain a carefully selected combination of butters and skin-conditioning oils and are available in a growing choice of fragrances.

How do I use body butter?

Massage a small amount into clean, dry skin until absorbed. Concentrate on areas that commonly feel dry, such as elbows, knees and hands. A little body butter goes a long way.

Body butter is for external use only. Avoid contact with the eyes and do not apply it to broken or irritated skin.

Can body butter melt during warm weather?

Yes. Body butter contains ingredients that naturally soften when exposed to heat. During very warm weather, the texture may change while the product is in transit or storage.

This does not necessarily mean the product is unusable. Place the closed jar somewhere cool and allow it to return to a firmer consistency before use.

Home Fragrance Products

What home fragrance products do you sell?

Our UK home fragrance collection may include wax melts, room and linen sprays, carpet fresheners, scented crystals, incense and other seasonal fragrance products. Availability varies as new fragrances and limited-edition collections are introduced.

Can I use carpet freshener around children and pets?

Keep children and pets away from the treated area while the carpet freshener is being used. Follow the directions on the packaging, carry out a patch test on a hidden area first and ensure the product is thoroughly vacuumed before allowing children or pets to return.

Always check that your vacuum cleaner is suitable for use with powdered carpet products.

Can room and linen spray be used on every fabric?

Always follow the directions on the bottle and patch test the spray on a small, hidden area first. Do not use it on delicate, polished, painted or unsuitable surfaces. Avoid spraying near people, pets, food or naked flames.

Spanish Cleaning Products

Do you sell Spanish cleaning products in the UK?

Yes! Our new Spanish cleaning products collection will be arriving next week. We will be starting with a small, carefully selected range, giving our customers the opportunity to discover popular Spanish laundry and household cleaning products without ordering from overseas.

What Spanish cleaning products will be available?

Our first Spanish cleaning collection will include:

• Spanish laundry detergent

• Spanish fabric softeners

• Household cleaning sprays

• Disinfectant products

• Washing-up liquid

• Laundry whitening tablets

The exact fragrances, brands, bottle sizes and product availability will be shown on each individual product page when the collection launches.

When will the Spanish cleaning collection launch?

Our Spanish cleaning products will be added to the Willow Rose Soap website next week. This will be an initial small-quantity launch, so some products may sell out quickly.

Will you be stocking large quantities?

We will only have a limited quantity available during the first launch. This will help us discover which Spanish laundry detergents, fabric softeners and household cleaning products our customers love the most.

If the collection proves popular, we may introduce additional fragrances, products and larger restocks in the future.

Why are Spanish cleaning products so popular?

Spanish laundry and cleaning products are loved for their distinctive fragrances and their ability to make everyday cleaning feel more enjoyable. Many people particularly enjoy the powerful, fresh scents found in Spanish fabric softeners, laundry detergents and household cleaning sprays.

Our new collection is perfect for customers who already love our Spanish Cleaning-inspired wax melts and would like to experience the cleaning products that inspired those fragrances.

Will the Spanish cleaning products be handmade by Willow Rose Soap?

No. These products will be sourced from established manufacturers and supplied in their original packaging. They are separate from our handmade Willow Rose Soap wax melts, bath products and home fragrance collections.

Product descriptions will clearly explain what each item is, how it should be used and any important safety information.

How should I use Spanish cleaning products safely?

Always read the label and follow the manufacturer’s instructions before using any laundry or household cleaning product. Use only the recommended amount and never mix different cleaning chemicals unless the manufacturer specifically states that it is safe to do so.

Keep detergents, fabric softeners, disinfectants, cleaning sprays, washing-up liquids and whitening tablets securely stored away from children and pets.

Can I use Spanish laundry products in my washing machine?

Check the instructions on the individual product before use, as directions and recommended quantities can vary. Make sure the product is suitable for your type of washing machine, laundry and preferred wash cycle.

Will sold-out Spanish cleaning products be restocked?

Restocks will depend on customer demand and supplier availability. As our first release will contain limited quantities, we recommend ordering promptly if there is a particular Spanish cleaning or laundry product you would like to try.

Orders and Delivery

How quickly will my order be dispatched?

We usually dispatch orders within 1–3 working days. Some handmade or made-to-order products may require additional preparation time. Any longer processing period will be explained on the relevant product page.

Working days do not include weekends or UK bank holidays.

Which delivery service do you use?

We normally send orders using Royal Mail Tracked 48. Tracking information will be provided when it is available so you can follow the progress of your parcel.

Dispatch time and delivery time are separate. Royal Mail Tracked 48 is a delivery aim and not a guaranteed next-day service.

How much does delivery cost?

The current delivery charge will be displayed at checkout before payment. Charges may vary depending on the contents, weight and value of your order or any delivery promotion running at the time.

Can I change or cancel my order?

Contact us as soon as possible if you need to change or cancel an order. We cannot guarantee that changes will be possible once an order has entered production, been packed or dispatched.

What should I do if my parcel arrives damaged?

Please contact us as soon as possible and include your order number, photographs of the outer packaging, the delivery label and the damaged product. Keep all packaging until we have responded, as it may be required for a delivery claim.

What happens if I enter the wrong delivery address?

Customers are responsible for checking that the delivery address is complete and correct before submitting an order. Contact us immediately if you notice an error. We cannot guarantee that an address can be changed after the order has been processed or dispatched.

Product Availability and Gifts

Why are some fragrances only available for a limited time?

We regularly create seasonal wax melts, limited-edition bath products and special home fragrance collections. Some fragrances and designs are produced in small quantities, so they may not return once they have sold out.

Do you offer mystery boxes?

Mystery boxes and surprise wax melt selections may be available at selected times. The fragrances, colours and shapes are chosen as a surprise, making them ideal for discovering new scents or sending as a handmade gift.

Are your products suitable as gifts?

Yes. Our handmade wax melts, body butters, bath bombs and fragranced gift selections are ideal for birthdays, Christmas, thank-you gifts, self-care packages and other special occasions.

Safety and Additional Help

Are wax melts safe around pets?

Wax melts and burners must be kept out of the reach of pets and children. Never allow pets to touch or consume wax, fragrance products or packaging.

Some animals can be especially sensitive to fragrance. Make sure the room is well ventilated and that pets can leave the area. Speak to a veterinary professional if you are unsure whether a fragranced product is suitable for your pet or household.
