Product Care & Storage Guide
Caring for Your Willow Rose Products
Every Willow Rose Soap product is handmade in small batches. Correct storage and care will help protect its appearance, fragrance and performance.
Always read the label and follow the product-specific directions supplied with your purchase.
General Product Care
-
Store products in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight.
-
Keep them away from radiators, windowsills and other sources of heat.
-
Keep packaging securely closed when the product is not being used.
-
Avoid introducing water into products stored in jars.
-
Use clean, dry hands or a clean utensil when removing products from their containers.
-
Keep all products out of reach of children and pets.
-
Do not use a product if its packaging is damaged or its appearance, texture or scent has changed unexpectedly.
-
Follow any best-before date or period-after-opening symbol shown on the label.
Wax Melts
Keep wax melts in their original packaging, stored flat in a cool and dry place. Heat and direct sunlight can soften the wax, fade its colour or affect decorative details.
Different fragrances may naturally vary in colour and strength. Some wax melts may also develop a frosted or slightly mottled appearance over time. This can occur naturally with vegetable-based wax and does not necessarily affect performance.
Always follow our separate Wax Melt Safety & Usage guidance when using these products.
Bath Bombs, Bath Rocks and Bubble Bars
Store bath products somewhere cool and completely dry. Humidity and splashes can activate the ingredients prematurely, causing bath bombs to soften or lose some of their fizz.
Keep products wrapped or sealed until you are ready to use them. For the best colour, fragrance and performance, use them while they are fresh.
Handmade colours and decorative details may vary slightly between batches.
Whipped Soap and Sugar Scrubs
Keep the lid securely closed and store the jar away from heat and direct sunlight.
Avoid allowing shower water to enter the container. Use clean, dry fingers or a clean spoon to remove the amount you need, then replace the lid.
Changes in room temperature can slightly alter the product’s texture without necessarily affecting its use.
Soap Sponges
Rinse the soap sponge after use and allow excess water to drain away. Store it somewhere well ventilated where it can dry between showers.
Do not leave the sponge sitting in water or directly beneath a running shower, as this will use up the soap more quickly.
With suitable care, a soap sponge will generally last approximately three to four weeks, although this will vary with frequency of use.
Body Butters
Store body butter in a cool place away from direct sunlight and heat. Natural butters can soften or melt when warm and become firmer in cooler temperatures.
If the product softens, place it somewhere cooler and allow it to settle. A temperature-related change in texture does not necessarily mean the product is unusable.
Use clean, dry hands to avoid introducing water into the jar.
Room and Linen Sprays
Store bottles upright in a cool place away from sunlight, naked flames and sources of heat.
Keep the cap or spray closure securely fitted. Do not transfer the product into an unlabelled container.
Always check the care label and test an inconspicuous area before applying a linen spray to fabric. Do not spray onto polished, painted or delicate surfaces unless the product directions confirm suitability.
Carpet, Mattress and Bin Fresheners
Keep powder fresheners tightly closed and completely dry. Moisture can cause the powder to clump and may affect how evenly it disperses.
Store the container upright and replace the cap after every use. Always perform a patch test before applying it to carpets, rugs, upholstery or mattresses, and follow the How to Use & Safety instructions supplied with the product.
Wardrobe, Drawer and Car Freshener Bags
Keep the contents inside their original bag. Hang or place the freshener where air can circulate around it, but do not allow it to rest directly against painted, polished, plastic, leather or delicate surfaces.
Avoid excessive heat and direct sunlight, particularly inside vehicles. Fragrance strength and longevity will vary depending on the scent, temperature, airflow and size of the space.
Handmade Product Variations
Because our products are handcrafted, slight differences in colour, pattern, decoration, weight and finish may occur between batches. These natural variations make every Willow Rose product unique.
